Terms & Conditions – Suppliers

  • Participation in Showcasing Regional Scotland 2017 is available to food and drink manufacturers, processors, producers and direct suppliers only, hereafter referred to as ‘Companies’
  • Companies must be based in Scotland. 
  • Companies must be trade-ready and not conceptual or pre-start up.
  • Participation is by application. Companies must register interest by completing a pre-qualification questionnaire on showcasing.scot to apply for a place.  Scotland Food & Drink (‘SF&D’) and its partner Connect Local reserve the right to decline any application.
  • Company applications will be shared with project partners for the purpose of managing the event and Company Support Programme training.
  • Companies will be notified by email and directed to the full registration portal.  Payment must be made by credit/debit card via the secure online payment gateway. No other billing methods will be available. Ticket payment is due once application is confirmed. 
  • Scotland Food & Drink does not store credit card details
  • The price quoted is per delegate.
  • Any company selecting the wrong ticket fee will be liable to pay the difference prior to participating. In this eventuality, ‘SFD’ will issue an invoice. 
  • Places are limited to two delegates per company.  
  • The ticket price covers the Showcasing Scotland event, consisting of: meet the buyer programme, networking lunch and exhibition style event.
  • Ticket price excludes travel and accommodation.
  • Company information (including company description, logo and photo) must be submitted by completing a Company Profile on showcasing.scot, this information will be shared with project partners. Registered Buyers will have access to this information for the purpose of requesting company meetings.
  • Participating companies will have access to an online diary prior to the event for the purpose of selecting Buyers they wish to meet.
  • Companies will have the opportunity to arrange individual buyer meetings, lasting 15 minutes each.
  • A photographer and videographer will be present at the Showcasing Scotland event.  By participating, Companies agree to any photograph or footage in which they are featured to be used for publicity purposes, unless SF&D is notified in advance to the contrary.
  • SF&D and their partners may reference Companies’ participation in digital media, including website and social media.
  • Cancellations received after 31st January 2018 will not be liable for a refund.
  • Companies must complete a post-event questionnaire which will assist SF&D and Connect Local in the analysis of investment. 
  • Force majeure: SF&D and Connect Local shall not in any event be held responsible for or liable for failure to perform its obligations hereunder if such failure results from circumstances not under their control.

  • Participation in Showcasing Regional Scotland 2017 is available to buyers, intermediaries and direct suppliers to food and drink retail, foodservice and wholesale only, hereafter referred to as ‘Buyers’.
  • Buyers must be based in Scotland, unless by prior approval.
  • Buyers must have purchasing responsibility.
  • Buyers are limited to one place per company, unless by prior approval.
  • Participation is by application. Buyers must register interest by completing a pre-qualification questionnaire on www.showcasing.scot to apply for a place.  Scotland Food & Drink (‘SF&D’) and its partner Connect Local reserve the right to decline any application.
